Beginning preschool is a big step for young children! This class at Aldo Leopold Nature Preschool aims to bridge the gap between family programs and traditional preschool. Nature Beginnings is recommended for children ages 3 and 4 who have little or no previous preschool experience and/or have not done an outdoor preschool program before. We will have a simple schedule full of play, stories, and group time, with an emphasis on learning to be part of a group, and of course having fun playing and learning in nature. Children must be fully potty trained to attend (wearing underwear to school and using the bathroom mostly independently). 
Please note that we have a new format this year for registration. Instead of registering every season, we will have rolling enrollment. Families can enroll at the beginning of the year and pay monthly for as long as they want to stay in the class. If you would like to un-enroll, you just need to notify the preschool office by the 15th of the month. We hope this will provide consistency for families and their young children.
You will not be charged to register for this class at this time. Payments will be completed monthly ($100 per month) on a platform called Brightwheel. After registering here, you will receive an email within two business days with information on how to sign up for Brightwheel.
